The DNLA is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Wiles as its new Executive Director, effective Monday, March 31, 2025. Wiles brings over 20 years of experience in horticulture, marketing, and nonprofit leadership, making her a strong asset to lead DNLA into its next chapter.

Wiles has built a distinguished career in the green industry, previously serving as Interim Executive Director at the Delaware Center for Horticulture and leading marketing and event efforts at North Creek Nurseries, where she played a key role in expanding revenue and industry engagement. Her passion for horticulture, deep industry connections, and expertise in event planning and strategic growth align perfectly with DNLA’s mission.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carrie as DNLA’s next Executive Director,” said Don Halfen, DNLA Board President. “Her experience, leadership, and vision will help strengthen our association, support our members, and drive continued success in Delaware’s green industry.”

As Executive Director, Wiles will oversee DNLA’s operations, membership engagement, advocacy efforts, and educational programs, ensuring that Delaware’s nursery and landscape professionals have the resources and support needed to thrive.

“I am honored to step into this role and excited to build on DNLA’s legacy of supporting and advocating for the green industry,” said Wiles. “I look forward to working with DNLA’s members, partners, and stakeholders to enhance educational opportunities, foster collaboration, and continue growing this vibrant industry.”

Wiles succeeds Valann Budischak, who has led DNLA for over 20 years, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and growth for the association.
